What is Paintless Dent Repair?

Many times, you are simply in disbelief that your vehicle is sporting another dent or ding. It just does not take much to mar the beautiful car's surface. Anything from an errant rock to an out-of-control shopping buggy can all pose a significant hazard to your car's exterior. One of the best ways to repair these types of dents is with Paintless Dent Repair. However, there are certain requirements for the types of damage this process will be most effective on.

What Types of Damage Can Be Fixed with PDR?

The most common types of damage that are easily repaired with PDR are those that are in a door panel or fender. The dents do not have creasing or painted removed. They also can not entail the trim area and need to be a certain distance away from the edge of the part.

What Is the PDR Process?

This process sounds rather simple; However, it takes a great deal of training and experience to get it right. The first step in the process is to gain access to the area behind the damage. This involves removing the inside door panel or possibly removing a tire for access to a wheel well. Then, with the use of several specialized tools, the metal is massaged from behind. Once complete, there is no sign of the repair. It's also much less expensive than a traditional repair in a typical body shop. The entire time to do the repair only takes about one to two hours. If you've ever had your vehicle in a body shop, you know that it can days for your car to get fixed. This not only is inconvenient, you could not have access to your vehicle for days.

Let the Company Come to You

Almost all of the companies that offer this type of service offer mobile service as well. They will come to your location, such as your work or home and take care of the car. It's a very convenient way to get your car looking fantastic again. This is also a great idea for a leased or rented vehicle, too.

In Closing

The key to this process is choosing someone who has the training and experience to effect the repair properly. If not, you could end up with more damage than before and it could be very expensive to fix! For the best results, only use a PDR company that is well established, insured, and bonded.

What Are the Best Email Marketing Practices Being Used?

If you are serious about getting a huge success with email marketing, you should apply best practices for email marketing right from the beginning. Your marketing strategies will be responsible for your or your company's overall success. So make certain you concentrate on how to score the best results. Here I have mentioned some of the best email marketing practices that are being used by experts.

Ask to Confirm:

Always ask your subscribers to confirm their request to subscribe to your list. This ensures that you have a permission to send out emails. This avoids spam. Many of the email marketing service providers provide you with options whether you wish to get your subscribers permission or not. It is a best practice to always ask for permission. This will help you too to avoid automated spam subscription to your list.

Write a Catchy Subject Line:

People decide which email to read and which not by glancing at subject lines. So make sure you practice to include an attention grabbing subject lines. Putting a first name on a subject line increases an email open rate. However the recent studies show that putting a current date instead of a first name gets you better result in email open rate. You can also capitalize the first letter of all the words in your subject line to get attention. However make sure it does not look spam to email engines to avoid your emails delivered to junk folders.

Include a Relevant Content:

You should have a clear concept on what you are writing about. Your contents should also be relevant with your subject line. Do not deceive your subscribers by including a subject line on one topic and writing email on the other one. Always keep in mind why your subscribers have subscribed to your list, and what type of information they want from you. Stick to a specific niche and do not market outside your niche.

Build a Long Term Relationship:

Building a long term relationship with your subscribers should be your main aim with email marketing. This brings you a huge profit in a long run. To achieve this, balance your marketing emails with free information or gifts. Do not over do any of them. Your subscribers should not feel that you are only marketing your products. Give them occasional free gifts or a valuable information. Also always personalize your emails. It gives them a feeling that you are specifically addressing them.

Secrets California Security Guard Companies Do not Want You To Know

THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS: Almost always, security rates are determined on an hourly basis. Large cities generally cost more for service. Security guards in Los Angeles, for instance, are more expensive than Fresno. If you attempt to hire your own officers ('in-house' as it is commonly referred to) special licensing is involved. It's easier, and usually more cost-effective, to use security companies for security staffing.

Currently, most California security companies will charge, on average, $ 14.00 dollars an hour for an unarmed officers. (Note: keep in mind that this $ 14.00 rate is what a security company will charge, not what the officer actually makes.) More than $ 15.00 an hour should have considered quite high for a security guard rate, especially in this economy, unless there is Unusual training and / or skills required for the job. Few security guard companies will offer $ 13.00 an hour for their unarmed guards.

Below $ 12.00 an hour is very rare and is cause for suspicion, since operating expenses are almost always too high to allow that low of a margin. Unarmed security guards under $ 13.00 an hour should cause you to ask the guard company how they can operate with so low a rate. How about the guards themselves? Well, unarmed security guards average only about $ 9.50 an hour for most California cities.

For armed security officers, security companies will charge, on average, $ 15.50 an hour. Higher than $ 17.00 an hour is expensive, and below $ 14.00 an hour is suspiciously low. The average armed security officer earns (himself) $ 12.00 an hour.

Use the above rate information to negotiate better transactions on your security guard vendor contracts. Also consider:

TRAINING: The California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) oversees all training standards for California security guards. They detail specific standards, which can be found on their website.

Officer training must be on-going, but many security guard companies do not comply with training requirements as they are time-consuming and expensive. On-site training is perhaps most important since every account has unique security needs. Make sure your security guard company shows you documentation of ongoing guarding training.

Written tests taken by security guards must be completed. The questions of the test should relate both to your specific account and general rules and regulations, mandated by BSIS. Keep in mind, the more well trained security guards are, the better prepared they are to protect your business.

SECURITY GUARD'S PLIGHT: Because many security officers are low income earners and have limited education, they can be taken advantage of by unethical security guard companies. Most common pay problems include shorting officer hours and failing to pay overtime, which is a Labor Board requirement.

Additional security staff mistreatment includes harassment and safety violations. To minimize security guard abuse, consider having an open-door policy where officers can speak freely about their concerns to you.

POOR RECRUITMENT: Because it's expensive and time consuming to hire security, many security companies do not take the necessary steps to screen and interview properly. The client invariably pays the price. Have your security company put in your contract how they conduct drug screening and background checks, and ask where and how they recruit.

POOR SUPERVISION: It's also expensive to hire good supervisors and sometimes short cuts are taken. Security staff must be supervised. Without supervision, security staff are more likely to make mistakes. Policies and procedures must be inspected. Get to know your supervisors. If not part of the daily crew of guards, find out how often supervisors visit. Request supervisor reports. When mistakes happen, find out what corrective actions the supervisors took. The more involved you are, the safer you and your workplace will be.

NO GUARD CARDS: Security officers must have current BSIS guard cards on them when working. There are no exceptions. Any security staff working without a valid guard card subjects the business to a pricey fine. It easy to check online to verify security card status. Simply Google it and it will come up. It is perfectly appropriate for you to check your security officer's guard cards. Because forgery of guard cards happens, ask your security guards for a second ID so you can cross-reference.

NO INSURANCE: California armed security staff are required by BSIS to be under a $ 500.000 general liability insurance policy. Also, worker's compensation policy must be in place for both armed and unarmed officers. Have your security vendor provide copies of their workers compensation and general liability insurance. To save money, some security companies either don not have full insurance or get insured and then quickly cancel their policies after a new contract is signed. You can protect yourself and company by requesting copies of insurance certification every now and then, without warning. Also, make sure your guard contract has an indemnification clause.

LICENSE: All California security guard companies must also be licensed. You can check license status by visiting the BSIS website.

DOCUMENTATION: All security-related problems should be documented. Reports are sometimes used in lawsuits and they must be well-written, thorough, and legitimate. Confirm that you have incident reports, know where they are kept, ask to read them. If you work with a security company, it is their responsibility to ensure all security guards write competent report, but, remember, the more involved you are, the safer you will be.

THERE'S MANY CHOICES: There is well over a thousand California security companies. Fierce competition to earn your business allows you many options so take your time and choose wisely.

Kettlebell Training For Triathletes – A Half Marathon Experiment

As every triathlon enthusiast will appreciate, success in competition demands a reasonable time commitment. Indeed, many participants find themselves short-changing other important aspects of their lives, such as work, and time for family and friends, in order to put in those all important training hours. I myself have slaved away for up to 14 hours a week just to be competitive at sprint and Olympic distance tris, and have had to sacrifice other enjoyable aspects of my life in order to do so. Additionally, injuries synonymous with hefty triathlon training schedules, such as chondromalacia Patella (runner's knee, also prevalent in cyclists), Achilles tendinitis and swimmer's shoulder, pose a constant threat to keen triathletes following a traditional training routine.

It is no surprise, therefore, that an increasing number of endurance athletes are beginning to look for an alternative method of achieving optimal fitness without the time-consuming, laborious and life-ruling characteristics of traditional endurance training; A method that can not only enable them to reduce the time they spend training, but can also strengthen, condition and injury-proof them in a way that swimming, cycling and running can not; Perhaps even a training method that is anything but monotonous, and there before keeps motivation and adherence to a premium.
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to, the kettlebell!

There is no other training method that develops strength, endurance and cardiovascular capacity quite like the kettlebell. Its ability to provide unparallel condition and turbo-charged fitness has seen an upsurge in popularity in recent years, with world class athletes and celebrities such as Lance Armstrong, Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz swinging, snatching and pressing their way into incredible shape.

The kettlebell resembles a cannonball with a handle, and training is based around five foundation exercises, all of which have the ability to simultaneously enhance performance in the three phases of triathlon. The drills are all multiple lever movements that rely on major muscle groups, so providing an intense and challenging strength and cardiovascular workout in one. The swing, a dynamic, total body movement, teachings the hips, glutes and hamstrings to fire powerfully and effectively, which translates directly to running and cycling efficiency. Cleans also encourage power generation from hip drive, while simultaneously relaxing the shoulders; Critical during a grueling multi-sport race. Snatches help to rewire the central nervous system, thus strengthening the mind-body connection and adding overall efficiency in each phase. Military presses, meanwhile, stabilizes the inherently unstable shoulder joint, strengthening the surrounding muscles and negating the continuous internal rotation of the freestyle stroke that so often causes the collection of troublesome symptoms that fall beneath the 'swimmer's shoulder' umbrella. Each and every kettlebell drill has the benefit of encouraging the body to work as one synergistic unit, thereby resulting in optimal efficiency and providing a hugely advantageous carry over into triathlon, and every other sport.

To give you an idea of the incredible cardiovascular condition you can get simply by using a single kettlebell, allow me to briefly tell you about my preparation for my first half marathon at Windsor in 2008, as an example. Due to my heavy schedule as a personal trainer, the time I had available for training myself was restricted, and certainly not enough to follow a traditional half marathon training regime. So, rather than admit defeat and give up on one of my personal goals for the year, I decided to perform a little experiment and prepare for my run primarily using kettlebells. Whilst I would not promote building up to a significant race distance without at least some running preparation, I was interested to see how well fitness developed primarily from kettlebell training might transfer to running endurance. My lead up to the half marathon incorporated five workouts of 60 minutes or less per week, for eight weeks. Instead of a traditional running build up, I devised a varied, kettlebell-based regimen which consist of high-rep snatches (approximately 500 in 45 minutes), total body strength training using heavier kettlebells to increase my power and injury-resilience, and multiple Sets of 5 or 6 exercises, such as deadlifts, russian twists, squats and presses, in order to develop muscular endurance and conditioning. I ran on the treadmill once or twice a week for the duration of my build up, gradually increasing to a maximum distance of 8 miles in the elementary week, before tapering.
Lining up on the start line I was admittedly somewhat anxious at the prospect of running 13 miles with very little running mileage, but as I settled into the run I felt surprisingly comfortable. I finished the race in two hours dead, which, considering the heat and demanding hills on route, was respectable for a 'natural sprinter's' first attempt. More importantly, I pushed myself to the maximum, and although I had considered lactic acid build up as expected by the end of the race, my recovery was exceptionally quick, and two days later I felt completely recovered, bar a few blisters.

Bearing in mind that I had also severely prolapsed a disk in my back and could barely move only five months earlier, my half marathon attempt bore testament to the kettlebell's incredible core conditioning capacity. Every lift or dynamic movement you can perform with this relative and diminutive piece of kit requires extra core core muscle strength, which is imperative to maximum performance. The core provides a solid foundation through which power can be transferred from one region of the body to another, so for any athlete looking to improve their race day results, as well as help prevent injury, developing a strong core is essential and is an aspect Of training that simply can not be overlooked.

So there you have it. If you are looking to reduce the amount of time you spend preparing for race days, while also increasing your resiliency to common endurance training related injuries and improving your overall efficiency, and there is speed, then find yourself a well qualified kettlebell trainer and discover the challenge , Fun, and results associated with this remarkable training tool. Kettlebell training can be performed pretty much anywhere and takes up very little space, so even when you're tight for time you can still give yourself an immune cardiovascular workout without even leaving the house.

Article Marketing For Profit – How To Build Your Article Marketing Portfolio

When building your article portfolio, it is important to design something that is easy to manage, and also highlights your writing skills in a positive way. Everything from the fonts you choose to how people navigate the site can mean the difference between a sale and a visitor that simply leaves your site.

To begin, you can start uploading your portfolio onto any number of free web hosting service provider sites. If at all possible, you will want to test the finished page from a dial-up server connection to see if the page loads quickly. You will also be able to learn what kinds of popups or other advertisements will greet your potential customer. It may take signing up for multiple sites before you find one suitable for your needs. On the other hand, you may simply want to purchase webspace and a domain name.

Next, you will want to consider how potential customers will navigate through your site. If you are not a web designer, and do not want to work with HTML, you can hire someone to build the site for you. That said, it is important to choose colors and fonts that will be comfortable for your reader.

When it comes to writing the actual articles, it is OK to start with just one or two per day. As you develop your skills, you will probably want to take down some items, and put up other ones. In this way, you will also have time to work on articles for your customers, without sacrificing the long term benefits you expect to achieve from having a portfolio.

Empathy Statements for Customer Service Representatives

Showing empathy to customers takes more than words, it also takes imagination. It's not enough to utter a few well meant clichés, hoping this will placate an upset or angry customer. People working in customer service need to make the mental stretch and try to imagine what it is like to travel in the customer's shoes.

When a customer is aggrieved or has had a negative experience, the most important thing for them is to feel that their point of view has been heard and understood. The worst thing that can be done is to fob the customer off with a few pat expressions, or not take their grievance seriously at all. Even if all the right things are being said, a poor tone of voice can result in poor customer service. Therefore it's important that the customer can feel genuine sympathy when they speak to a customer service representative.

The customer might not always be right. Indeed, sometimes the customer may be very much in the wrong. For example, a missed payment on a credit card may have put an account into arrears, resulting in a limited purchase at a busy store. An embarrassing situation is the unhappy result. Suddenly the customer calls in a rage, feeling humiliated. The job here is not to tell the customer that they are to blame for having missed making the payment on time, but to try to understand their emotions and respond to them. Often in this situation, where a late payment on an account has claimed in credit being abruptly cut off, the customer can feel belittled and reduced. These feelings need to be addressed, allowing the customer to feel like they have been heard and their negative experience understood.

It takes character on the part of the service provider to keep calm when confronted with an angry customer. The very human response is to be defensive, and return aggression with aggression. Employees need to train themselves to control their emotions, to take a step back, breathe deeply, and let the happy customer get everything off his or her chest.

The three main points to remember when serving an angry or upset customer are:

  • Listen quietly and carefully to their complaints, without interrupting at all;
  • Remain polite and show respect, no matter how hostile the customer becomes; And
  • Maintain a sympathetic and even tone of voice. Never raise your voice.

In most circumstances, a customer who is rude but only receives civility and understanding in return, will find it difficult to keep up their aggressive behavior. It's hard not to feel ill-mannered when you are continuously being treated decently and with respect.

Empathy Statements for Customer Service Representatives

The following are helpful empathy statements that can be used to diffuse potentially explosive customer service situations.

  • "We always appreciate customers who take the time to give us their feedback.
  • "Thanks for alerting us to the bad service you have received. What can I do to help fix the situation?"
  • "I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience.
  • "I can completely understand. If that happened to me I'd be really upset too.
  • "What's happened to you is unacceptable and against company policy. Let me consult a supervisor to see if there is anything extra we can do to help."
  • "It's perfectly understandable that you're very upset about what's happened."
  • "The same thing happened to me only recently, so I can see why you're angry. It's a terrible inconvenience.
  • "We do not like to see our customers upset and inconvenienced. We always strive to create a positive customer experience."

Working with angry or upset customers requires a high sensitivity to other people's feelings, even when the customer is in the wrong. By not taking abuse personally, taking a step back mentally, and striving to understand why a customer feels humiliated or wronged, a dissatisfied customer can be turned into a satisfied one.

6 Principles of Customer Service Etiquettte

Customer service etiquette principals should be integrated into every facet of your organization because providing superior customer service is the most effective way to differentiate your business from the competition.

Many employees will walk onto a job with little or no knowledge of how to interact or communicate with customers and without any appreciation of the importance of delivering exceptional customer service.

Employers have a responsibility to set and effectively communicate the ground rules for how an employee should operate within their company. Often an employee is issued a manual or orientation without any formal training on the company's unique culture or way of conducting business. With this lack of understanding, you have employees in effect defending the company's policies based on their social norms, which leads to the loss of productivity, morale, and profitability.

Empower your employees by teaching them the six principals of customer service etiquette. Properly train and educate your employees on how to interact and communicate with customers to deliver superior customer service, cultivate long-term relationships with clients, build customer loyalty, and differentiate your business from the competition.

6 Principles of Customer Service Etiquette:

  • Smile and demonstrate good manners. Teach employees to smile, leading by example. Establish a culture of high quality customer service and commit to deliver superior service whether over the phone or face-to-face.
  • Make customers feel comfortable, valued, and appreciated.
  • Treat customers with respect, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Listen actively to be responsive and exceed customer expectations.
  • Effectively resolve the customer's problem.
  • Say "Thank you" and "Please" graciously.

Build prosperous relationships by treating customers as you want to be treated.
